SteamMaster's Golf Tournament, Country Club of the Rockies, Arrowhead, CO
The 7th Annual SteamMaster Golf Spring Limited Edition - Open Tournament will be held on May 31st at Country Club of the Rockies. This is a one gross and one net best ball of the foursome and a registered handicap is mandatory. The second format is a 'local experts' non-competitive scramble. Cocktails and Hors d'oeuvres will be served at Vista Restaurant afterwards. The Vail Valley Charitable fund is pleased to be named as one of the local organizations benefiting from SteamMaster's fund raising efforts. La Sportiva Summer Solstice Trail Run, Beaver Creek, CO
The Vail Recreation District's first trail running event of the summer helps the Vail Valley Charitable Fund's cause. Participate in a 10K, 5K Walk/Run, or free Kids FunRun. On-site registration will begin at 10:00 a.m., on June 16th, or register at vailrec.com. The kids' FunRun starts at 10:30a.m. and the 5K Walk/Run and 10K Run begin at at 11:00 a.m. Start and finish in the beautiful Creekside Park at Beaver Creek Resort. Food and drink will be provided after the race, along with live music.

The LG Tri is a sprint triathlon held in the beautiful Vail Valley Mountain town of Eagle, CO. Our 4th Annual LG Tri will be held on Saturday, June 30th, 2012. The LG Tri features a 500-yard swim (10 laps) in the Eagle Pool,followed by a 12-mile bike loop from the pool, down scenic Brush Creek Road, to Adams Rib Ranch, and back to the pool. The third leg features a 5K run from the pool down the bike path to Eagle Ranch Road, connecting to the Eagle Ranch bike path and back to the pool for the finish. The 5th Annual BecTri is a sprint triathlon that challenges athletes of all abilities.  Race as an individual or with friends as a team.  It's a great race for beginners! The race starts at 8:00 a.m. with a 400m swim in Nottingham Lake, followed by a 15k bike leg featuring rolling hills through Edwards' Singletree neighborhood. Finish with a flat 5k run or walk along the Eagle River. This race is no longer a USAT sanctioned event. The Bec Tri is named in honor of Rebecca Lynn Yarberry, a local triathlete and friend. She passed in a tragic car accident in the Vail Valley in 2007.
